I educate, compose and perform for all people regardless of their circumstances. I like to meet people where they are and face musical challenges head on with them. Whether it is in the classroom or concert all I believe music is for all.

[From the homepage] Matthew has been composing music for the last 25 years. His compositions and arrangements have been widely performed including all over the USA and in Europe. His compositions range in scope from full orchestra and concert band to both vocal and instrumental jazz and chamber groups. Educator.
Matthew has been a music educator in the Puget Sound region of Washington State for 17 years. He is an active clinician and adjudicator in Washington and Idaho, and has adjudicated both large group and solo/ensemble contests. Matthew is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at Franklin Pierce High School in the Tacoma area. Percussionist.
As a performer, Matthew has been on stage with The Seattle Wind Symphony, Tacoma Concert Band, South Sound Symphonic Band, Rainier Symphony, Olympia Symphony, Mach One Jazz Band, Ellensburg Big Band, and others. While in college, Matthew was fortunate enough to perform with the acclaimed vocal jazz group Soundsation from Edmonds Community College under the direction of Mr. Kirk Marcy, Central Washington University’s Vocal Jazz I under the direction of Mr. Vijay Singh, and Central Washington University’s Jazz Band I under the direction of Mr. Chris Bruya. In addition to these amazing jazz ensembles, Matthew also performed with CWU’s Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Paul Elliot-Cobbs and Wind Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Larry Gookin.
